baked beans

2 c. white navy beans
6 c. water
1/3 c. molasses
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. dry mustard
1/4 lb. pork fat or salt pork
boiling water
1 package dry onion soup mix
Boil beans in water for 2 minutes. Set aside for 1 hour. Mix together all the remaining ingredients and add to the pot. Cook in a medium oven for 3-4 hours, adding boiling water if necessary.
